Clear information about warranties, payments, device collection and what to expect when leaving a repair with KO Repairs.
Everything You Need to Know
These terms apply when a device or item is left with KO Repairs Ltd for inspection, diagnosis or repair. Please read them before confirming any work.
Repair Warranty
All repairs include a twelve-month guarantee unless stated otherwise.
The warranty covers only parts repaired or replaced by KO Repairs Ltd. It does not cover physical damage, accidental damage, negligence, misuse or faults unrelated to the original repair.
KO Repairs Ltd reserves the right to inspect the device and determine the cause of any reported warranty fault.
Agreed Repair Costs
Prices agreed when a repair is authorised are not negotiable at the time of collection.
KO Repairs Ltd may withhold a device until all repair charges, inspection costs and applicable bench fees have been paid.
Payment must be received before the repaired item is released.
Parts Exchange & Recycling
Components removed during repair may be retained, recycled or responsibly disposed of by KO Repairs Ltd.
By authorising the repair, you give KO Repairs Ltd permission to use or dispose of replaced parts as appropriate.
Any request to retain an original component must be agreed before the repair begins.
Backups & Data Loss
Please ensure that all important data is backed up before your device is brought in for inspection or repair.
Although data loss is uncommon, it may occur during diagnostics, software work or repair.
KO Repairs Ltd cannot accept responsibility for lost files, photographs, applications, settings or other stored information.
Condition & Accessories
Existing damage may be recorded by a member of staff when an item is received.
Any difference noticed at collection must be raised with a member of management before the item leaves the premises.
KO Repairs Ltd is not responsible for accessories or peripherals unless they were requested and recorded when the device was booked in.
Additional Faults
Faults may worsen or become more apparent while a device is being inspected, dismantled or tested.
KO Repairs Ltd cannot accept responsibility for additional faults caused by an existing defect or the condition of the device before inspection.
Where further chargeable work is required, you will be contacted before it is completed.
Releasing Your Device
No item will be released without the relevant work order ticket or other acceptable proof of ownership.
Customers should check the condition and operation of their item at the time of collection wherever reasonably possible.
Once an item has left the premises, concerns relating to its recorded external condition may not be capable of verification.
Storage & Disposal
Items may be withheld until all outstanding repair charges and bench fees have been paid.
Where payment has not been received within six weeks of the repair or inspection date, KO Repairs Ltd reserves the right to take action to recover its costs.
This may include disposal of items considered beyond economical repair, subject to applicable legal requirements.
Third-Party Repairs
Any KO Repairs Ltd warranty becomes void if the repaired item is opened, altered or repaired by another person or business.
Warranty labels, security stickers and serial numbers may be fitted or recorded for identification and security purposes.
Removing or tampering with these identifiers may invalidate the repair warranty.
Please Back Up Your Device
Repairs and diagnostics can occasionally result in data loss. Please save anything important before bringing your device to KO Repairs.
